The Literary Review

The Literary Review is housed at Colorado Mesa University, a public university in Grand Junction, Colorado. They publish: critical analysis, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenplays, visual art, and more! If they can put it on a page, they can put it in the book!

We only accept submissions from CMU students. Their magazine is a student organization on campus.

How does your magazine fit into your broader campus or literary community?

We strive to be the stage for creativity on campus: a place where every student can use their creativity become a part of campus history

What have you found most exciting about working for or advising your magazine?

The thing I have found most exciting in my first year working for The Literary Review has been the pure joy I feel when we successfully reach out to groups that we have struggled to in the past, particularly art students.

—Aidan Leschen, Editor-in-Chief

Where are you right now in the production cycle for your next issue?

Right now, we are collecting submissions, soon to transition into the selection process.

What do you think is the biggest challenge faced by undergraduate literary magazines?

I think the biggest challenge facing undergraduate literary magazines is simply reaching out to the campus and making ourselves known.
